Introducing Global Teachers for a Sustainable Future (GTSF)

We are proud to announce the launch of the Global Teachers for a Sustainable Future (GTSF) initiative, a collaborative effort aimed at transforming Higher Education for sustainable development and global citizenship.

GTSF brings together eight European knowledge entities, uniting a diverse range of expertise in education, sustainability, and innovation. This unique consortium is dedicated to reshaping teaching and learning practices to promote sustainable development and global citizenship in home learning environments.

At the heart of the GTSF initiative is the mission to empower future educators and students to become agents of change in creating a more sustainable and inclusive world. Through innovative training programs, collaborative learning environments, and interdisciplinary approaches, GTSF aims to equip educators with the knowledge, skills, and resources to integrate sustainability principles into their teaching practices.

«Our goal with the Global Teachers for a Sustainable Future initiative is to redefine Higher Education and prepare educators to meet the challenges of the 21st century»

Key objectives of the GTSF initiative include:

  • Developing evidence-based teaching and learning practices that promote education for sustainable development and global citizenship.
  • Creating personalized learning environments that foster collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation.
  • Maximizing the impact of the project by sharing outcomes, tools, and best practices with stakeholders.
  • Engaging with external partners and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and amplify the initiative’s reach.

The initiative will develop a training program for higher education institutions,  a virtual learning environment to ensure educators, administrators, and learners access a unified, secure, and integrated system for personalised learning, a A certification in education for sustainable development and global citizenship, and a best practices manual for implementing the GTSF Program
